A Spectrum router or gateway blinking blue usually means the device is booting or trying to establish a connection. Solid blue (on many models) means online; stuck blinking blue for 15+ minutes can mean a failed WAN sync, firmware loop, or area outage.

How to fix a Spectrum router stuck blinking blue

  1. Wait 5–10 minutes after power-on for first boot.
  2. Check our map — if Spectrum is down nearby, wait for restoration.
  3. Unplug gateway 60 seconds; restore power; wait for Online.
  4. Reseat coax; bypass splitters for a test.
  5. If still blinking blue with no outage, call 833-949-0036 for reprovision or replacement.
