“Spectrum internet connected but not working” usually means your device shows WiFi bars or Ethernet link lights, but pages won’t load. Causes range from DNS failure and captive glitches to a real Spectrum outage that still leaves the local WiFi LAN up.

Fixes when Spectrum is connected but not working

  1. Check live outage stats / map — if your ZIP is spiking, wait or call.
  2. Toggle airplane mode; forget and rejoin WiFi on one device.
  3. Power-cycle modem 60s, wait for Online, then router.
  4. Plug a laptop into the modem with Ethernet (bypass WiFi).
  5. If Ethernet also fails, treat as Spectrum outage / line issue.
  6. If Ethernet works, fix WiFi channel, reboot AP, or replace router.

DNS and “connected, no internet”

Sometimes WiFi associates fine but DNS fails (especially after outages). Try loading 1.1.1.1 or a raw IP; if that works while names fail, renew DHCP or temporarily test public DNS — then reboot the gateway so Spectrum provisioning refreshes.
