Internet only - Internet out at 1:00 am on the dot as another comment stated seems planned but no notice and support is non helpful, I truly hate spectrum and there monopoly in my area, I want fiber again!

Internet only - Internet went out at 1:00am on the dot going by my server logging. Seems like a planned outage as that timing is odd but it would have been nice to know that ahead of time if that was the case. Spectrum does not show an outage when checked on their site though. Frustrating..

The live console on this page shows real-time Spectrum outage reports for Yakima. Green means no recent reports, amber means a handful of Yakima customers are reporting problems, and red means major outage activity across the metro. Check the map and neighborhood grid below for ZIP-level detail.
Charter Spectrum's Yakima, WA footprint is part of a larger Washington plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 98901 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

1. Check the live Yakima map
Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Yakima means an active outage.
2. Verify with your ZIP
Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Yakima instead of the broader total.
3. Rule out your equipment
Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.
4. Report your outage
Submit a report so other Yakima customers can confirm they're not alone.
5. Request a bill credit
If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.
Separate a local Yakima Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Yakima status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Yakima means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Yakima reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Yakima headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Yakima report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Yakima typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
Check the live map, report your outage, or look up your ZIP for local status.
