@GetSpectrum I work from home and my Internet is always down, what’s up with that? I’m really sick of it

@GetSpectrum my mom gestured to her that she couldn’t hear. The rep proceeded to cross her arms and stare at my mom while my mom asked for a pen and paper so she could return her equipment. Then a man walks up and my mom assumes he’s there to help her. He gestures for her (cont)

Recently got an email claiming to be from @GetSpectrum saying my internet had been upgraded from 400Mb to 500Mb, but I’ve never seen more then 150, and even now it’s only 120. So was it spam?

@RippleFiber is down yet again. I didn't think it was possible, but starting to think it's less reliable than @GetSpectrum was here, and that was terrible for over a decade. What an unbelievable statement in the year 2026. 😮‍💨

@Ask_Spectrum The entire Rancho Sienna neighborhood in Georgetown TX is sick of all the outages. I have direct accounts of 30 Spectrum customers all complaining of intermittent disconnects. When we call support, we're told that we should try reversing our ethernet cables between our Firewalls/Routers and the cable modems. Your lack of serious engagement is leading us all to conclude we should move to @Starlink . PM me if you want to try and salvage your local customer base.

Seagraves Spectrum outages — local patterns

Charter Spectrum's Seagraves, TX footprint is part of a larger Texas plant built on large metro footprints across Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe thunderstorms, ice storms, heat-related equipment stress, and construction fiber cuts. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 79359 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

How to check Spectrum outages in Seagraves

Confirm whether Spectrum is down in Seagraves in under 5 minutes.

  1. 1. Check the live Seagraves map

Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Seagraves means an active outage.

  2. 2. Verify with your ZIP

Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Seagraves instead of the broader total.

  3. 3. Rule out your equipment

Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.

  4. 4. Report your outage

Submit a report so other Seagraves customers can confirm they're not alone.

  5. 5. Request a bill credit

If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.

Spectrum not working in Seagraves? Troubleshoot it in order

Separate a local Seagraves Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.

  1. 1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking

Check the live Seagraves status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.

  2. 2. Internet is connected but nothing loads

Compare against the map: quiet map in Seagraves means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.

  3. 3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service

Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Seagraves reports confirm it is inside your home.

  4. 4. TV or cable box out, internet fine

A video-tier fault scoped to the Seagraves headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.

  5. 5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time

Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Seagraves report pattern.

  6. 6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down

Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Seagraves typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.

The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
