I was pleasantly surprised with @GetSpectrum while helping an elderly person get her internet set up; their support line was answered, get this, BY AN AMERICAN that spoke ENGLISH! Stunned, I tell you. My only complaint is I was on hold for far too long (24 minutes).

@Ask_Spectrum I'm talking about no DVR functionality streaming Dodgers from SportsNetLA on Roku device. We're not about to order cable service from you when Frontier FIOS is much faster and synchronous.

Calling to cancel my #spectrum internet, if they would have tried to keep me this hard last week when I called them to lower my bill I may not have switched to @att but last week could not have cared if I stayed or left. @GetSpectrum

Recently got an email claiming to be from @GetSpectrum saying my internet had been upgraded from 400Mb to 500Mb, but I’ve never seen more then 150, and even now it’s only 120. So was it spam?

Saint Louis Spectrum outages — local patterns

Charter Spectrum's Saint Louis, MI footprint is part of a larger Michigan plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 48880 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

How to check Spectrum outages in Saint Louis

Confirm whether Spectrum is down in Saint Louis in under 5 minutes.

  1. 1. Check the live Saint Louis map

Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Saint Louis means an active outage.

  2. 2. Verify with your ZIP

Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Saint Louis instead of the broader total.

  3. 3. Rule out your equipment

Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.

  4. 4. Report your outage

Submit a report so other Saint Louis customers can confirm they're not alone.

  5. 5. Request a bill credit

If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.

Spectrum not working in Saint Louis? Troubleshoot it in order

Separate a local Saint Louis Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.

  1. 1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking

Check the live Saint Louis status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.

  2. 2. Internet is connected but nothing loads

Compare against the map: quiet map in Saint Louis means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.

  3. 3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service

Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Saint Louis reports confirm it is inside your home.

  4. 4. TV or cable box out, internet fine

A video-tier fault scoped to the Saint Louis headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.

  5. 5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time

Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Saint Louis report pattern.

  6. 6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down

Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Saint Louis typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.

The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
