@GetSpectrum how do you stay in business? You’ve torn up my lawn, my service is out again today, and you leave a voice mail that my service is out. No sh*t Sherlock! Now when I call I get an obnoxious mechanical voice that keeps looping around to the same question. I’d like to say do better, but I don’t think it’s possible.

@Ask_Spectrum Actually you all just recite corporate bull crap instead of helping paying customers. Otherwise I wouldn't have had to deal with this worthless internet since February. Also it's my only option so your company doesn't care in the slightest.

Got an email last Thursday from @GetSpectrum saying “Your Internet speed has increased from 400 Mbps to 500 Mbps”. Never seen an increase in speed. Today it’s been very slow and going out completely.

What’s up with y’all’s Internet, @Ask_Spectrum? Seriously. My Spectrum Business Internet and phones have been down since yesterday. I can’t keep a stable connection under any kind of load. My business is losing money because of this outage. If Spectrum doesn’t compensate us, I’m switching to AT&T or ???. To anyone considering Spectrum: don’t. Save your sanity and your money.

@Ask_Spectrum my husband works in Stone ridge & the plaza is out of Internet. He doesn't know how to report an outage, his jobs higher ups usually deal with the ISP. Not sure if they have business account, or another provider. Is it you guys or should he reach out to someone else

@Ask_Spectrum We had an outage that didn't resolve until a little after 3 this morning. Just thankful it's back up.

Charter Spectrum's Princeton, KY footprint is part of a larger Kentucky plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 42445 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Princeton? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Princeton Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Princeton status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Princeton means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Princeton reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Princeton headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Princeton report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Princeton typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
