@Ask_Spectrum Yesterday it was "power outage", non-specific, for about an hour. The week before the modem just decided to give up and I had to wait 1.5 days for a tech... I can't rely on Spectrum, need backup at least.

@Ask_Spectrum What I mean by that is the AI isn’t learning and adapting as the questions come in. Just like the problem Apple had with Siri. Very limited in its responses due to it not being able to learn.

@Ask_Spectrum Thank you. Again, it isn’t my account and the account holder is happy enough. So, you’re not out a customer…you just have one less future customer. Spectrum seems to have a lot of outages.

Nicely done @GetSpectrum Sucker me back after 9 years by paying for all my streaming apps so I can save money and then fail to provide adequate internet service just like always. You get what you pay for so choose anyone else!!!

@ladydshops@GetSpectrum@Starlink Its so stupid prices keep rising and service gets worse and worse. What genius decides to take down internet services at 5PM on a Friday?! It'll be back in a few hours, or so the app says but this is ridiculous

@Ask_Spectrum This is America where the official language is English - not Spanish - so there should be NO REASON for me to have to update or choose anything unless I were Mexican, like your head marketing executive. Until she understands this, I won't be a customer.

@Ask_Spectrum The only way you can help me, is to stop what you’re doing to my account. You don’t seem to want to accommodate me, in any way shape or form. Your company continues to make it difficult to use the service I pay for. On time. Month after month.

Charter Spectrum's Port Allen, LA footprint is part of a larger Louisiana plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 70767 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Port Allen? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Port Allen Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Port Allen status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Port Allen means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Port Allen reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Port Allen headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Port Allen report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Port Allen typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
