@Ask_Spectrum You guys literally dont do ****. Ive stopped calling because of how useless you are. There is no outage. My cable works fine in my kitchen. I'm good with talking to AI or some overseas call center with some idiot reading a script.

@GetSpectrum @Ask_Spectrum They don't care because they don't have to. Terrible systems and embarrassing customer service. I am stuck with them.

@GetSpectrum : The most undependable, unregulated Monopoly in San Antonio, Texas. Even @cpsenergy and @MySAWS have a better service record. Water & Power? You pay for what you get. Cable & IT? You pay whether you get it or not.

@NYCMayor@GetSpectrum is particularly bad about not allowing new yorkers to cancel their services. Forcing them to call or wait in store for hours on end to be able to end service. No ability to cancel on their website.

@Ask_Spectrum Ahh...more corporate bull crap.

No internet at home this morning. 😒🙄 Apparently @GetSpectrum has been playing games trying to boost the speed from 400mbps to 500mbps by changing the frequency or some such nonsense. 🙄 Doesn't appear to be working to well. Keep losing my connection multiple times per day. 🫤 I pay these knuckleheads $90 per month for unreliable internet, ever since they started playing these increase the speed games. Worst part is I live in an apartment building so there is only so much they can do since the

amhayes(@amhayes8) reported35 minutes ago
@GetSpectrum likes to cut out every 30m and then when you use their support app to try to get them to fix the constant cutouts they refuse to actually fix anything and blame your equipment. ridiculous bs for **** they're charging $90/mo for.

Some of the worst service ever @GetSpectrum

@IamBirdMomma@GetSpectrum@Starlink We lose signal briefly when it rains really hard. When we lose power the whole house generator kicks on and the reboot is quick. Love Starlink!

@Ask_Spectrum Yes, provide a better service that isn't dog💩
Bushhogger(@bushhogger24) reported44 minutes ago
@Ask_Spectrum over a dozen outages in less than a year in East TX. Most of those multiple hours. Get it together or all the rural people yall spent millions on to get service to will easily swap back to Starlink.

Charter Spectrum's Orangefield, TX footprint is part of a larger Texas plant built on large metro footprints across Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe thunderstorms, ice storms, heat-related equipment stress, and construction fiber cuts. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 77639 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Orangefield? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Orangefield Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Orangefield status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Orangefield means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Orangefield reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Orangefield headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Orangefield report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Orangefield typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
