@Ask_Spectrum @GetSpectrum Internet is out. Have had to use my hot spot. However, ran out of data and now getting throttled. So, your system is down and I’m getting penalized. Nice. CSR had audacity to try to upsell me to higher data cap. Totally unacceptable.

@Ask_Spectrum It's not really a service issue. It's the CBS issue moving from one network to another in the Greenville/Spartanburg area. The channel shows up OTA but not on the Spectrum app.

Client app/website blocked by Spectrum "Security Shield". @Ask_Spectrum says fill out form, it can take up to 5 days to remove blocks. Meanwhile customers can't use app or website. No escalation path, no way to avoid support calls from angry customers. 💀 We need open internet.

@Ask_Spectrum No thank you. You're only going to try and talk me into a more expensive package with the lure of a promotion that's only good for a year and then wait for me to forget when the promotion period is over. It's what happens every time I speak to customer service.

Nicely done @GetSpectrum Sucker me back after 9 years by paying for all my streaming apps so I can save money and then fail to provide adequate internet service just like always. You get what you pay for so choose anyone else!!!

Mesa Spectrum outages — local patterns

Charter Spectrum's Mesa, ID footprint is part of a larger Idaho plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 83643 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

How to check Spectrum outages in Mesa

Confirm whether Spectrum is down in Mesa in under 5 minutes.

  1. 1. Check the live Mesa map

Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Mesa means an active outage.

  2. 2. Verify with your ZIP

Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Mesa instead of the broader total.

  3. 3. Rule out your equipment

Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.

  4. 4. Report your outage

Submit a report so other Mesa customers can confirm they're not alone.

  5. 5. Request a bill credit

If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.

Spectrum not working in Mesa? Troubleshoot it in order

Separate a local Mesa Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.

  1. 1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking

Check the live Mesa status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.

  2. 2. Internet is connected but nothing loads

Compare against the map: quiet map in Mesa means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.

  3. 3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service

Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Mesa reports confirm it is inside your home.

  4. 4. TV or cable box out, internet fine

A video-tier fault scoped to the Mesa headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.

  5. 5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time

Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Mesa report pattern.

  6. 6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down

Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Mesa typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.

The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
