Tried to cancel our @GetSpectrum internet peacefully, but apparently cancellation requires an interrogation, a heated argument, and the rep telling me I don't know what my internet needs are. But at least I'm out.

It might be time to cancel my @Ask_Spectrum. No changes to my cable or internet plan in 3+ years and my bill has gone from $180 to $250 to $270 and now to $280 this month. Getting charged $10/month more for internet now despite no changes to my plan. Fraud *** company.

@Ask_Spectrum my husband works in Stone ridge & the plaza is out of Internet. He doesn't know how to report an outage, his jobs higher ups usually deal with the ISP. Not sure if they have business account, or another provider. Is it you guys or should he reach out to someone else

@Forbes Considering how ****** and stupid the @GetSpectrum retail employee was when I dropped off my set to box in Brooklyn yesterday.....it's obvious they aren't testing.

Nothing I usually post but FWIW had two experiences yesterday w/customer service for two large companies & difference couldn’t have been more stark. Will spare details but bottom line: @GetSpectrum very good. @StubHub very bad. One still has my business. One does not. Carry on

Charter Spectrum's Fairland, OK footprint is part of a larger Oklahoma plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 74343 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Fairland? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Fairland Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Fairland status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Fairland means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Fairland reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Fairland headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Fairland report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Fairland typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
