@ATT John Stankey confirmed what our data shows: FWA capacity isn't infinite, and consumer mobile gets prioritized. Where FWA is constrained in rural markets, Starlink takes the customer. Where @GetSpectrum brings fiber, Starlink loses that customer. #FWA #Broadband

@Ask_Spectrum This is America where the official language is English - not Spanish - so there should be NO REASON for me to have to update or choose anything unless I were Mexican, like your head marketing executive. Until she understands this, I won't be a customer.

@Ask_Spectrum And DO NOT give me the “Please DM”. This is not something I need a technician to interrupt my day with, again. They have been here, they tested everything, they already know the node is unstable. Fix it.

Got an email last Thursday from @GetSpectrum saying “Your Internet speed has increased from 400 Mbps to 500 Mbps”. Never seen an increase in speed. Today it’s been very slow and going out completely.

@Ask_Spectrum What I mean by that is the AI isn’t learning and adapting as the questions come in. Just like the problem Apple had with Siri. Very limited in its responses due to it not being able to learn.

I was pleasantly surprised with @GetSpectrum while helping an elderly person get her internet set up; their support line was answered, get this, BY AN AMERICAN that spoke ENGLISH! Stunned, I tell you. My only complaint is I was on hold for far too long (24 minutes).

Charter Spectrum's Elizabethtown, IL footprint is part of a larger Illinois plant built on a mix of aerial and underground plant across the Spectrum footprint. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe weather, planned overnight node maintenance, backbone fiber cuts from construction, and utility power events that take amplifiers offline. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 62931 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Elizabethtown? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Elizabethtown Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Elizabethtown status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Elizabethtown means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Elizabethtown reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Elizabethtown headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Elizabethtown report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Elizabethtown typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
