Calling to cancel my #spectrum internet, if they would have tried to keep me this hard last week when I called them to lower my bill I may not have switched to @att but last week could not have cared if I stayed or left. @GetSpectrum

@ATT John Stankey confirmed what our data shows: FWA capacity isn't infinite, and consumer mobile gets prioritized. Where FWA is constrained in rural markets, Starlink takes the customer. Where @GetSpectrum brings fiber, Starlink loses that customer. #FWA#Broadband

@Ask_Spectrum The entire Rancho Sienna neighborhood in Georgetown TX is sick of all the outages. I have direct accounts of 30 Spectrum customers all complaining of intermittent disconnects. When we call support, we're told that we should try reversing our ethernet cables between our Firewalls/Routers and the cable modems. Your lack of serious engagement is leading us all to conclude we should move to @Starlink . PM me if you want to try and salvage your local customer base.

@GetSpectrum told us we were going to have an 8-10 hour down time. That was 14 hours ago. Don’t you just love this service.

@Ask_Spectrum tried to do self install on Monday didn’t work. Returned equipment to the store on Friday received a bill for $70. Abrasive associate at the store told me spectrum doesn’t pro rate now I’m stuck with a $70 bill for something I never got.

@Ask_Spectrum I discovered that my Internet has gone up $10 a month. The representative said it’s due to the cost of doing business in 2026, a 140 dollar increase a year. I have been a customer for 15 years & sadly will be switching (which includes moving my wireless service)

@Ask_Spectrum over a dozen outages in less than a year in East TX. Most of those multiple hours. Get it together or all the rural people yall spent millions on to get service to will easily swap back to Starlink.

Charter Spectrum's Clarksburg, OH footprint is part of a larger Ohio plant built on broad Midwest plant across Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and surrounding cities. The most frequent outage drivers here are ice storms, severe thunderstorms, and aging aerial segments in older cable markets. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 43115 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

Spectrum not working in Clarksburg? Troubleshoot it in order
Separate a local Clarksburg Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.
1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking
Check the live Clarksburg status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.
2. Internet is connected but nothing loads
Compare against the map: quiet map in Clarksburg means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.
3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service
Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Clarksburg reports confirm it is inside your home.
4. TV or cable box out, internet fine
A video-tier fault scoped to the Clarksburg headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.
5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time
Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Clarksburg report pattern.
6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down
Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Clarksburg typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.
