I wish I would not have ever switched to @GetSpectrum for mobile service by far the worst experience ever

I wish @Ask_Spectrum would provide some update on outages to customers. Just issuing a blanket statement such as you’re currently in an outage, we’re working on it, our customer service agents can’t tell you anything else so don’t ask is completely unacceptable!

@GetSpectrum so I’m curious, is this the training you give your customer service reps or is this an extenuating circumstance? Either way, disabled people deserve respect and your team in Decatur AL should be ashamed of themselves.

@NYCMayor @GetSpectrum is particularly bad about not allowing new yorkers to cancel their services. Forcing them to call or wait in store for hours on end to be able to end service. No ability to cancel on their website.

@GetSpectrum your "customer service" (sales) just boldfaced led to me. You are the lowest of the low. I will be switching to Starlink.

Cincinnatus Spectrum outages — local patterns

Charter Spectrum's Cincinnatus, NY footprint is part of a larger New York plant built on dense urban and suburban plant across Upstate and metro New York markets. The most frequent outage drivers here are nor'easters, ice loading on aerial lines, summer thunderstorms, and dense urban construction cuts. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. Watch ZIP codes like 13040 for the earliest neighborhood spikes.

How to check Spectrum outages in Cincinnatus

Confirm whether Spectrum is down in Cincinnatus in under 5 minutes.

  1. 1. Check the live Cincinnatus map

Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Cincinnatus means an active outage.

  2. 2. Verify with your ZIP

Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Cincinnatus instead of the broader total.

  3. 3. Rule out your equipment

Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.

  4. 4. Report your outage

Submit a report so other Cincinnatus customers can confirm they're not alone.

  5. 5. Request a bill credit

If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.

Spectrum not working in Cincinnatus? Troubleshoot it in order

Separate a local Cincinnatus Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.

  1. 1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking

Check the live Cincinnatus status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.

  2. 2. Internet is connected but nothing loads

Compare against the map: quiet map in Cincinnatus means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.

  3. 3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service

Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Cincinnatus reports confirm it is inside your home.

  4. 4. TV or cable box out, internet fine

A video-tier fault scoped to the Cincinnatus headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.

  5. 5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time

Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Cincinnatus report pattern.

  6. 6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down

Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Cincinnatus typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.

The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
