@DisneyPlus @Disney I’m in Tampa with @GetSpectrum tv. They gave us the Disney channel but it’s almost unwatchable. The spinning blue circle will lock up what I’m watching. The audio will continue but the show is frozen. How do I fix this problem?

@Ask_Spectrum It's being addressed...tomorrow...half way through the work day. That's the earliest appointment I could get... I kinda work from home... I just can't understand why every interaction I have with Spectrum is just this level of horrible.

@Ask_Spectrum I'm talking about no DVR functionality streaming Dodgers from SportsNetLA on Roku device. We're not about to order cable service from you when Frontier FIOS is much faster and synchronous.

Alliance Data Systems Spectrum outages — local patterns

Charter Spectrum's Alliance Data Systems, TX footprint is part of a larger Texas plant built on large metro footprints across Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. The most frequent outage drivers here are severe thunderstorms, ice storms, heat-related equipment stress, and construction fiber cuts. When report volume rises across neighborhoods such as central, the live console usually lights up before Spectrum's own status tools catch every local node. How to check Spectrum outages in Alliance Data Systems

Confirm whether Spectrum is down in Alliance Data Systems in under 5 minutes.

  1. 1. Check the live Alliance Data Systems map

Look at the live status on this page. Report volume above the baseline for Alliance Data Systems means an active outage.

  2. 2. Verify with your ZIP

Enter your ZIP to see localized report volume across Alliance Data Systems instead of the broader total.

  3. 3. Rule out your equipment

Only reboot your modem (unplug 60 seconds) if the map is quiet. If reports are spiking, the issue is upstream and a reboot won't help.

  4. 4. Report your outage

Submit a report so other Alliance Data Systems customers can confirm they're not alone.

  5. 5. Request a bill credit

If the outage lasts more than a couple of hours, contact Spectrum with the start time and your service address to request a prorated credit.

Spectrum not working in Alliance Data Systems? Troubleshoot it in order

Separate a local Alliance Data Systems Spectrum fault from a problem inside your own home.

  1. 1. No internet at all, modem online light off or blinking

Check the live Alliance Data Systems status first. If reports are climbing, the issue is Spectrum's plant — a reboot cannot fix it, so log a report and wait for restoration.

  2. 2. Internet is connected but nothing loads

Compare against the map: quiet map in Alliance Data Systems means power-cycle the modem for 60 seconds and let it re-sync for 2–3 minutes; busy map means the fault is on Spectrum's side.

  3. 3. WiFi works, but only some devices lose service

Router-side issue local to your home, not a network outage. Reboot the router only (not the modem), reconnect on the 5 GHz SSID, then re-test. Flat Alliance Data Systems reports confirm it is inside your home.

  4. 4. TV or cable box out, internet fine

A video-tier fault scoped to the Alliance Data Systems headend rather than the data plant. If TV report volume is spiking on its own, no equipment reset is needed.

  5. 5. Service drops repeatedly for a few minutes at a time

Intermittent ingress on plant is common during storms. Log each drop with timestamps from this page, then request a line technician referencing the Alliance Data Systems report pattern.

  6. 6. Whole street is out and utility power is also down

Grid event — Spectrum amplifiers draw power from the same feeders. Spectrum service in Alliance Data Systems typically returns shortly after grid power is back. This is usually a local plant issue, not your modem.

The outage information on this page is based on user reports and local service indicators.
